Film and videos made or obtained by the Hungarian state security organs were handled as parts of the file of the given case. Films made or obtained during the confidential investigation phase were collected in the operative files whereas films obtained during the open investigation phase were included in the Surveillance files. The Hungarian Ministry of Interior made films for training purposes, which were used in the training of state security officers.
