Personal files of collaborators

Ex-Sigurimi collaborators are all undeclared Security people who illegally serve the security and include residents, informants, agents and hosts.

The Former State Security created two types of files for all categories of co-workers who joined the cooperation, the personal file and the work file.

Personal file, which was created for all categories of collaborators on the basis of the relevant decision after the final report of withdrawal from cooperation was made.

The work file for the agent and informer category was created at the same time as the personal file. For the resident and host category, the work file was opened only when they provided data of interest to the operators

Active processing was classified into two levels, Processing 2A and Processing 2B.

In active processing 2A were placed all those persons for whom verified data was recorded which, according to them, implicated them in hostile activity against the party and the government.

In active processing 2B, all those elements who were defined as suspicious persons, who had developed counter-revolutionary activities in the past and who had the conditions to be active against the party and the government of the time, but who at the time were under processing 2B were inactive.

To be put into preliminary processing, the operative employee decides. While in order to be put into active processing, the Head of the Branch in the district or the Head of the Operative Branch decides in the center, while in the army, the head of Security in the military unit and department decides, in the border, the head of reconnaissance in the battalion decides.
