Data protection – anonymization
The personal data in the records presented to access is not anonymised. The personal data was anonymized in the process of access up to the change of the Act on Institute that came into effect in 2010.
The person affected may restrict the access to her or his personal data obtained by Communist security police by secret operative means and recorded in the documentation kept now in the IPN Archives (however for the period not longer than 50 years from the moment of producing of the documents containing such data). The person affected is also entitled to restrict the access to the information concerning her or his etnical or racial descent, religion, helath, sexual life or disclosing her or his property (especially real estate and other property being the cultural objects).
The use of information (personal data including) from the accessed records is a sole responsibility of users.
